From Wednesday 3rd June 2020 NKDC will resume advertising our properties and nominations as normal.
Please Note**** Applicants should only place bids if currently in a position to move. If self-isolating or shielding due to COVID19 and not able to move at this time, please consider this before placing a bid for a property. Please be aware that any bids you do submit may be overlooked if you are successful & unable to proceed with a move, as properties cannot be held****
Our offices remain closed but our other Housing options services continue to be available in the following way. Should you have an current housing need and require urgent assistance eg homeless at this time with no accommodation available to you, be at risk or violence or suffering domestic abuse, being threatened by your landlord etc.. Applicants with City of Lincoln Council
Following on from the 2 trial bid cycles for City of Lincoln Council properties, the decision has been made to continue with another 2 bid cycles, the 1st of which will start on 9th of September and the 2nd on 23rd September 2020. Bids can be placed online or over the telephone. No bids can be placed in person at City Hall. After these 2 bid cycles, we will review the situation again to see if further bid cycles can continue, if any issues have been raised and if we have insufficient properties to advertise (with limited people moving at this time), we will stop bid cycles again and revert back to direct matching. Housing Association properties will continue to be advertised in the normal way.
City Hall is open for a limited service on an appointment only basis. Appointments will ONLY be offered on an exceptional basis for matters that cannot be dealt with by telephone or email. No ‘walk-in’ service will be available for the Housing Solutions Team.
